Get ready to jingle all the way! We're thrilled to invite you and your family to our Christmas Parade and festivities. It's going to be an event to remember:

Date: December 2nd 

Parade Time: Line up at 4:00, Parade begins at 5:00 

Live Reindeer Visit: 3:00 -5:00 pm 

Location: Municipal Parking Lot for line up, you'll march around the Gouverneur village park 

 

We have some exciting attractions lined up for you: 

 

  1. Live Reindeer: Two of Santa's reindeer will be with us from 3:00 -5:00 PM. Don't miss this magical opportunity to meet these enchanting creatures!

  2. Free Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides: Hop aboard for a ride through the heart of the holiday spirit.

  3. Free Hot Chocolate & Cookies: Warm up in the cozy basement of the Methodist Church with complimentary hot chocolate and cookies provided by the Chamber of Commerce.

  4. Best Float or Vehicle Award: Be part of the parade and stand a chance to win a $50 award for the best float or vehicle. Get your creative juices flowing and join in the friendly competition.

 

We warmly invite everyone to be a part of this festive celebration! Whether you're representing your business, church, club, or school, we encourage you to join in the fun. You can showcase your organization's holiday spirit by marching in the parade or creating a dazzling float that will spread joy to all our spectators. 

 

We encourage participants. to hand out candy to the crowd, adding to the merriment. Safety is our priority, so remember, candy should be handed out, not thrown, to ensure everyone's safety. As the parade starts at 5:00 PM when it's getting dark, we invite you to light up the night by bringing lanterns, glow sticks, or any creative lighting to enhance the festive atmosphere. After the parade, Santa Claus will greet the children in the park and give each of them a small gift. It's a special moment to capture the wonder in the eyes of our little ones. 

 

The Chamber's Marble and Gold Members are sponsoring this holiday event. Please join me in thanking Kinney Drugs, Bonaparte Pharmacy, Community Health Center of the North Country, Empire Northeast (ENI), Gouverneur Hospital, and Lawrence Manor.

 

Join us as we light up the town, celebrate togetherness, and create unforgettable holiday memories. Don't forget to bundle up and bring your holiday spirit. Let's make this holiday season sparkle and shine!
