JRECK Subs was born in 1967 when five teachers from Carthage Central High School in New York started selling submarine sandwiches out of an old, converted school bus. Their names were Jerry Haley, Robert Martin, Ellis Martin, Charles Lehman, and Keith Waltz. If you take the first letter of each name and put them together, you get the word “JRECK.” Since then, JRECK sub shops have opened across New York, serving fresh, made-to-order subs to loyal customers.
