About the Business

5 Star Fitness Center for Women was started by five local women. We care about our health and well-being and the health and well-being of the women in the Gouverneur area. When our women-only gym closed, it left a big void in our lives. We hope this concept of a pass-key, secure, monitored system with minimal staffing will be successful and the availability of a women-only gym will be supported year-round in our small town.

We are staffed four hours a day, three days a week. But, with our key pass system, members have access to the fitness center seven days a week, 16 hours a day, from 5:AM to 9:PM. For safety, there are two emergency buttons in the center that are monitored 24/7 for any emergency that may arise. Security cameras are installed and regularly reviewed to ensure the safety of our members.
